The Westinghouse Headquarters, long a symbol of Hamilton's position as an industrial and corporate powerhouse, has long been left abandoned. Appropriate then that at a time of Hamilton's exciting renewal, so too we resurrect the beautiful bones of this historic landmark, reshaped into a home for the next generation of our city's corporate leaders.
The building has sat empty since the mid ‘80s, yet it remains a beautiful example of Classical Revival style. After years of neglect, we seek to bring it back to its original luster, featuring its brick walls and stone accents, windows surrounds and keystones. The interior fit outs will be left to the tenants, with the intent of retaining the building’s strong design connection to the City and its authentic feel.
The exhibition features prints of the original 1917 plans and works by Thomas Allen, Jonathan Castellino, Paul Elia and Matt Clarke showcasing the current state of the building.
Each print is an edition of 1 and available for sale.
